Where Children Grow, Learn, and Thrive

Daisy Center and School

Daisy Centre & School is a vibrant school campus in Bukura, Kenya, led by Carolyne Ashiono—an experienced educator dedicated to serving children and improving access to education.

For many families in Kenya, school costs like uniforms, shoes, and fees still create barriers, and public education ends after 8th grade. High school must be paid for, often costing $1,600–$2,000 per year, which is out of reach for many.

In 2012, Lifting Lives helped purchase land and begin construction for Daisy Centre & School. Temporary classrooms were built first, followed by a spacious four-classroom building.

Today, Daisy Centre & School educates over 500 students from preschool through 8th grade and is working toward adding a high school on campus. With a reputation as one of the top schools in the area, Daisy is opening doors to education for children who once had limited access.

Our New Home

To address the growing need for children in dire situations, we are building a new home. This new 7,000 square foot facility will accommodate up to 72 children and help them thrive physically, emotionally, and academically.

We need your help to make this vision a reality. Every dollar of your donation goes directly toward construction. Together, we can make a lasting impact on this community!

Gardner Granny Orphan Home

The Gardner Granny home is a beautiful, 2,700 square foot structure that serves as a permanent home for 24 children.  It is located within the secure grounds of the Daisy Centre and School campus.  The Gardner Granny home is different from other orphanages and instead serves an orphan family home.  The children are cared for by a house matron and they care about each other as family members.

As the children grow older they move into a boarding facility on campus.  They continue to eat and spent time at the home and live in the boarding facility as they prepare to transition and move on to high schools.
